I can't believe this place is still relatively unknown. In fact, I hope it stays that way as it's a hidden gem that I'm almost loathed to tell people about.

It look like some kind of dark-windowed sex shop from the outside during the day. But once inside, it's like LaChapelle got high, read Alice in Wonderland and then stole from Ted Baker's shop window to kit the place out.

After being buzzed in, you find yourself in the mirrored - and very plush - top bar. It's not a huge place, but it's lavish and intimate. Take a seat, there's waitress service, but it doesn't come cheap. Downstairs, the small restaurant is on your left, a lounge area to your right and the sushi bar directly in front.

The food is Chinese/Thai fusion, with the dim sum being the best choice. Some of the freshest in town I think. Eating isn't too expensive for a member's club, and it's very tasty.

The staff at Crazy Bear fluctuate between attentive and lovely, and giving you too much space. Though if you tell them you've got to be somewhere in an hour, they'll do their best to accommodate.

I don't know how much it is to join, but if someone suggests that they take you there for cocktails - make sure you bite their hand off.

Now, I love the crazy bear chain, hotels and food and appreciate the portions are unexpectedly large (not bite size mains as you would expect from a place like this), I could not find the place  very discreet in covent garden  which i think is a plus point. The only thing I didnt like is the fact that they recommended a £100 bottle of wine. We usually take reconmmendations from the somelier however, they usually give a very reasonable option which was followed by"after dinner, I will give you a great dessert wine" which having after having realised the bottle he had opened, we thought was complimentatry but instead a hefty amount was charged to the bill! I appreicate at this members only club we can afford the memberships and all that comes with it  but it was unecessary. All said and done, i would go again but just be weary of what I order for alcohol and would most definately order the shrimp teriyaki  never had this  great dish!
